About Pen Fight

Pen Fight is the school-desk game, and if you grew up in Bangladesh or anywhere nearby you already know the rules better than any tutorial could teach them. Everyone puts a pen on the desk. You take turns flicking yours at everyone else's. The last pen still on the desk wins the round.

Two to four people play, each seat for itself — there are no teams. A match is first to three rounds, so a whole game runs a few minutes rather than a few seconds, and a bad first round is recoverable.

Before play starts you pick a pen, and the choice is not cosmetic. There are six, in three families: the Elegant ones (Fountain, Rollerball), the Common ones (Hex stick, Clicker) and the Rough ones (Marker, Tactical). They differ in how they sit on the desk and how they take a hit, which is the closest this game comes to a character select.

How to play

  1. Choose a mode and a seat count: two, three or four players, against the computer, on one device, or online.
  2. Pick your pen when the game opens. You have 20 seconds; if the clock runs out you get a default.
  3. On your turn, drag back from your own pen and release to flick it — the direction and length of the drag set the direction and force of the shot.
  4. Knock an opponent's pen off the desk to eliminate it. Your own pen going off eliminates you just the same.
  5. The round ends when one pen is left standing, and that seat scores a point. First to three points wins the match.
  6. Freeze costs 5 Tickets and can be used once per turn. Each turn is on a 20-second clock.

Tips and strategy

Aim past the pen, not at it

A dead-centre hit transfers force straight through and often leaves the target spinning in place. Clipping one end sends it rotating toward an edge, which is what actually gets it off the desk.

With three or four players, do not always hit the nearest pen

Every seat plays for itself, so the player you knock out is one fewer threat to everyone — including whoever is winning. Taking out the seat on two points is usually worth a harder shot than taking out the seat on zero.

Watch where your own pen ends up

A big flick that misses leaves you near an edge and facing three opponents who now have an easy target. Half the game is shot selection and the other half is where you park.

The 20-second clock is longer than it feels

Most bad flicks are rushed ones. There is time to check the angle of the pen you are aiming at before you drag.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can play?

Two, three or four — and the same counts are available in every mode, including against the computer and on a single device.

Does the pen I choose change how it plays?

Yes. The six pens fall into three families — Elegant, Common and Rough — and they behave differently when they are struck. Picking one is part of the match, not just a skin.

Are there teams?

No. Every seat plays for itself, even in a four-player match. Temporary alliances are a thing players do, not a thing the game tracks.

What does Freeze do?

It is a paid action costing 5 Tickets, usable once per turn. Like every Ticket action on the portal, it needs an account — guests play the base game without it.
