About Sweet Fever

Sweet Fever is a match-three puzzle, which is to say it is the shape of game most people have already played a thousand rounds of without ever being taught the rules. A board of candies, a swap of two neighbours, three in a line, and the line disappears while everything above it falls down to fill the gap.

What turns that into a game rather than a fidget is the target. Each level asks for something specific — a quantity of a particular candy, or a layer of jelly cleared from under the board — and gives you a fixed number of moves or a fixed amount of time to do it in. Clearing candies is easy; clearing the right candies before you run out is the puzzle.

It rewards looking before swapping more than most people expect. The board is not random once you know what you need, and the difference between a level cleared with moves to spare and one missed by two is almost always in the first few swaps rather than the last.

How to play

  1. Read the level's target first — which candies you need, or how much jelly there is to clear.
  2. Swap any two candies that sit next to each other, horizontally or vertically.
  3. A swap only works if it lines up three or more of the same candy in a row or a column.
  4. Matched candies clear from the board and new ones fall down from above to fill the space.
  5. Meet the target before the move limit or the timer runs out, and the level is complete.

Tips and strategy

Match low on the board, not high

Clearing candies near the bottom makes everything above them fall, which often lines up matches you never made yourself. A match at the top of the board changes only the top of the board and gives you nothing for free.

Let the target choose your moves

A swap that clears three of a candy you do not need has cost you a move and bought nothing. On a level asking for one particular colour, a smaller match in the right colour beats a bigger one in the wrong one every time.

Look for the swap that sets up the next swap

The strongest moves are the ones that leave the board better arranged than they found it. Before committing, glance at what falls into the gap — a move that creates a new opportunity is worth two that merely score.

When you are stuck, scan by colour

Staring at the whole board finds nothing. Picking one candy colour and tracking only that one across the grid finds matches far faster, and it is the habit that separates people who clear levels from people who shuffle.

Frequently asked questions

How many candies do I need to match?

Three or more of the same candy in a straight line, either horizontally or vertically. Diagonals do not count.

Why did my swap not work?

A swap is only allowed when it actually creates a match of three or more. If nothing would line up, the candies stay where they are.

What happens when I run out of moves?

The level ends without the target met, so the constraint is not how long you can keep matching — it is whether you met the objective inside the limit.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Guests get three free sessions per device each day; an account adds saved progress, a Tickets wallet and a place on the leaderboards.
